KATHERINE APPLEGATE

Katherine Applegate is the Newbery Medal-winning and #1 New York Times bestselling author of numerous books for young readers, including The One and Only Ivan, The One and Only Bob,  The One and Only Ruby, Crenshaw,  Wishtree, Odder, the Roscoe Riley Rules chapter books series, and the Animorphs series. She lives with her husband, who writes as the author Michael Grant, and their children in California.

School visits and Skypes: Katherine loves meeting her readers through school and Skype visits. She also loves to write. Unfortunately, she’s been doing so much of the former that she’s fallen behind on the latter. She’s taking a sabbatical from speaking engagements so she can catch up on work, but hopefully it will be a brief one!
